The exhibition, located in the exhibition hall in the attic of the capitular deanery, tells the story of one of the few places in Central Europe from which our ancestors continuously determined and changed the direction of human society, education, and culture. It traces the rich and impressive history of Svatováclavské návrší from the oldest prehistoric settlement to the present day.

The appearance of the hill in selected historical periods is illustrated by bronze models created based on the latest scientific knowledge. Among the exhibits, rare archaeological finds, architectural elements, and fragments of decoration from former buildings, discovered during archaeological excavations and architectural-historical surveys, dominate. Modern history is presented through period vedutas and selected architectural plans and studies documenting the transformation of the appearance of St. Wenceslas Cathedral and proposals for making Bishop Jindřich Zdík's Romanesque palace accessible.

The exhibition is enriched with a number of interactive elements, including virtual-gaming visualizations, with the help of which visitors can walk through the history of this remarkable place almost as an eyewitness.
